| WK is colorless and transparent liquid, and of high quality and low cost.
It has outstanding functions of improvement of water quality and complete
decomposition of sludge. Its merits are as follows: |
| 1. Accomplishment of real water purification: ① no adverse effects of
discharge from WK-based treatment facilities ② decrease in N-T and N-P
|
| 2. Great reduction of costs: ① no need of coagulant ② reduction of electricity
③ no need of (excess) sludge treatment cost or no need of filter and disposal
cost of filter cake |
| 3. Improvement of water quality and complete decomposition of sludge
can be achieved in existing treatment facilities. There are no adverse
effects on existing treatment facilities. No filtration unit and no incineration
unit of filter cake are needed. |

Situation: Blue algae are grown, an eco-system is recovered and overflow water
seems clean. |
Note: In the course of this process, the amount of sewage to be treated was increased to 2.4-fold.
Nevertheless, COD value was maintained at a value below 60.

*In China, the standard imposed to industrial effluent is specified to be
less than 100 mg/L. A penalty is imposed to the violation of the standard,
depending on the degree of violation; reduction of production, suspension
of production and closing of factory.
*At the contract with a factory, the COD value has been decided and observed.
*In China, the standard is not so strict as that in Japan, so the amount
of WK added can be reduced.

3) Waterkeeper Technology has been supported by numerous companies in
Japan as well. The discharge from treatment facility located in every company
is satisfied with the standard prevailed in Japan. No adverse effects on
existing treatment facilities are confirmed.
